2018 Review Of All Affiliate Programs – Answer Your Questions

A Different Kind Of Affiliate Marketing Review

There are thousands of affiliate marketing websites on the internet. Some are well respected and others are scams. I plan on giving you enough information for you to make an informed decision on which, if any, to do business with. I personally have researched thousands and have signed up for plenty of affiliate marketing websites online. By the end of this article, you will have enough information to make your decision.

How I Got Started In Affiliate Marketing

I won’t bore you with too much information about how I got started. However, if youreview of affiliate programs, Wealthy affiliate review‘re interested (click here). I know a little background is helpful because you may be where I was when I first started and I have no problem sharing it with you. I started in affiliate marketing because I could not find a decent job (why I couldn’t find a decent job). I searched through a ton of marketing programs and wasted a lot of money and time before I started being successful. I wish to save you a headache and help you get on the right track.

The Internet Is Filled With Affiliate Marketing Websites

There are too many affiliate marketing companies on the internet to give each an individual review. There is not enough space to rate each one separately. I could name some and review it, but I would miss hundreds more. All affiliate marketing fall into three categories, and I will review all three. If there is a specific company you would like to know about, leave a question in the comment section and I will respond in which category they belong under and you can decide what works for you.

1. Affiliate Marketers or Expensive Coaches?

These companies market themselves as affiliate marketing, however, they are really out to get you to hire them as your “so-called” success coach. An affiliate marketer is one who sells other companies products on your website. There are affiliate marketing companies out there that say they will train you for a fee. That fee can be anywhere from $1,500 to $15,000. You have to be very careful because they can trick you. I signed up for one of these companies. I paid the $30 monthly subscription thinking that was a good price to start my business.

I was given a coach that would walk me through the training. I set up a call, and the first call was good. They talked about my goals and a plan to move forward. The second call was when they tried to upsell me by telling me that this was my business and I would have to invest. The lady told me it would be $30,000 for a one on one session with the site owner. After I told her I didn’t have it. At this point, the cost dropped down to $1,500. Hilarious! Now to be fair, all good programs have some kind of membership fees, but they should not charge you more to have personal training. This first group is tricky. Make sure you ask if your membership includes all costs.

The owners of these sites are not making money by being affiliate marketers themselves. They are making money by selling themselves as industry experts and getting you to resell their service for a commission of the sale. Rarely will you make any money from actually being an affiliate marketer? My recommendation: Avoid at all cost.

2. Monthly Subscription

Monthly subscriber companies are like the coach companies, except for the expensive one on one coaching fee. They offer an affiliate marketing company with monthly subscriber fees. The monthly fee range anywhere from $25 – $200. Now, these companies offer training modules and webinars that you can access at any time. You can make money with these websites, however, the learning curve is huge. If you have never owned an affiliate site before, it can become overwhelming very quickly.

What makes these sites similar to the coach sites is the fact they are really just offering you the ability to resell their monthly service program with a small commission to you. You are given the information to be an affiliate marketer but with limited support. For example, there are expenses outside of your monthly fees that you will have to cover. You have to build a website, you have hosting fees, you have an advertising budget and much more. You can make money, but if you don’t have any previous experience, you will become overwhelmed and quit. My recommendation: Avoid until you have some experience under your belt.

3. Legit Affiliate Marketing

You can find some great companies online, who offer a way to make money by being an affiliate marketer. These companies will teach and train you on how to properly set up your business. There will be a monthly membership fee and it should not exceed $60 a month. You should know quickly if they are legit or not. If their main focus is on reselling memberships instead of teaching you how to sell other products on your site, then they fall into one of the first two programs.

It can be very challenging finding a good program, but if you are willing to do your homework, they are out there.

4. What Programs I Use

Now I will share with you what company I use for my affiliate marketing. This will not be the only company you can use to accomplish your goals. Like I said, there are plenty out there and I have tried a few of them. Leave which companies you have questions about and I will give you an honest assessment of which category they fall under.

I work with Wealthy Affiliate.  In my honest opinion, they focus on teaching you how to be a true affiliate marketer. It was months before I realized that you could make money referring others to them and receiving a commision. I was already making a little money before I started telling others about the program. The training you receive with Wealthy Affiliate is second to none. They show you step by step, how to be successful.

They have a lifetime free version that you can make money with without ever signing up for the monthly subscription. It was only 3 days after joining, I became a premium member. I realized the value quickly. I am now making a decent income. I’m not rich and I don’t drive a $200,000 car, but I am making money from home and having a great time doing it. As I said earlier, there are other programs out there, but none that even come close to this one.

Leave a comment below, and I will answer as quickly as I can. Have a blessed day.

You have an awesome review of Affiliate Companies here. It’s easy to fall into the scams we have around these days. However as you stated the training in Wealthy Affiliate is second to none and you can actually start for free to determine if it’s for you or not! Now that’s a great opportunity.

    Great content!

Thank you. I believe it is the way to get back on track if you have had difficulties trying to land a 9 to 5.

This is a very nice and informative review, up until now, i never knew we had affiliate scams too. Now i know better. It would have helped a lot if you included some names to go with. Thank you.

Thanks for the comment. Yeah, there are scams out there. And one of my reasoning for not naming any was that if I missed one I didn’t want them being legitimized by my omission. The second reason was I didn’t want to do what I seen so many other affiliate marketers do.

If there is a particular company you have questions about I don’t mind telling you, but I didn’t want to do that in an open forum.

Thanks for the comment, very appreciated.
